A few examples of the detailed perfumer’s notes. β
β§ Peru Balsam - El Salvador. Balsamic, rich, sinewy, deep. Vanilla notes blending with soft clove-like and quiet woody, leather plus prune base. Balsam of Peru was used in early Mayan cultures as a ceremonial incense.
β§ Geranium Rose - USA. A green, bright leafy rose floral with a fruit and mint. Scents of rose, ginger, apple, coconut, strawberry, mint, nutmeg, citrus, and pepper release one by one from glandular leaf hairs, or trichomes on the plant. This diversity of aromatics is celebrated in the flower kingdom.
β§ Mitti Attar - India. The enigmatic aroma of this Mitti Attar comes from petrichor, the celebrated soil-after-rain atmosphere; the splash of life-breath that is formed through the use of wet clay. Awakened earth, this distillation method was first conceived by Indian herbal-masters over 5,000 years ago. The attar is grounding, calling for an intimacy with the earth and waters. Deeply connective.
